This is a special FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Ausar Ra Black Hawk episode based off of the audio from this year's great DC PodFest panel on diversity in podcasting ("Not All Podcasters Are White") that occurred at the Wonderbread Factory in Washington, DC on Saturday, November 11, 2017 featuring DJ Fusion (FuseBox Radio Broadcast; http://www.FuseBoxRadio.com), Ebone Bell (Tagg Nation; http://www.TaggNation.com), Morgan Givens (Dispatches; http://www.goatrodeodc.com/dispatches) & Charneil Bush (What About Your Friends; https://soundcloud.com/what-about-your-friends) talking candidly about their experiences as Podcasters of Color on multiple fronts (folks' trying to put what you talk about on your show in a box from the outside community - and sometimes your own - in the realms of race, class, sexuality, etc., how everyone got started with podcasting, the hustle one has to be on to be a quality indie media outlet at large, what IS diversity honestly, how to deal with people trying to push back against your viewpoints & expressing them and more). On Sunday, June 11, 2017, DJ Fusion of the FuseBox Radio Broadcast went out for a few hours in the blazing summer sun to check out the crowd, get in some cool photography and see some performances (featuring everyone from The Pointer Sisters to Tinashe to various folks from RuPaul's Drag Race & more) at the 42nd Annual Pride Festival in the Nation’s Capital up and down Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC.

There was a huge mix of diverse folks in the throes of protest (mostly against the current presidential administration, with some folks talking & getting into talk change needed in long term issues in the LGBTQ community that have happened over multiple presidencies) and party (since folks need to let loose here and there during crazy times) who attended the free event of music, food, vending and then some during D.C. Pride Weekend up and down the streets, though not as active and/or hardcore has what I was told during the Pride Parade the day before.

For more information on the Capital Pride, visit their official website at http://www.CapitalPride.com!
